Club Vetting Guidelines

Are you coaching or organising activities for Underage players in the Club,  if yes then you must be GARDA vetted.  Garda Vetting lasts three years. Use this opportunity to make sure you are up to date .

As we start  off the 2026 seaon, we want to let you know that the GAA, LGFA, and Camogie Associations have updated how Garda Vetting applications are processed.

This is a mandatory step for anyone involved in roles with underage teams, along with Safeguarding (should you need any more info please let us know)

Here’s what you need to know:

In-person ID Check: You must meet with our Club Children’s Officer, Declan Deere, to verify your ID and complete the NVB1 Invitation Form.

Foireann System: All vetting is now done through the Foireann membership system — create an account or log in to start your application.

Upload Documents: Upload the validated forms and documents as part of your online vetting application.

Complete E-Vetting: You’ll receive an email invitation to complete the Garda National Vetting Bureau (NVB) form online — act quickly as the link expires after 30 days.

This new process ensures everyone’s safety and complies with legal requirements.

Please follow each step carefully to avoid delays.

If you have any questions or need help, our Childrens Officer Declan Deere  is available.

If you are unsure whether you are currently up to date or not, you can tell by logging into Foireann  (make sure Foireann & Tobar are linked)
