The intermediate hurlers took part in the Donnacha Ryan Luke Memorial hurling tournament on Saturday 14 June in Cappamore GAA field. There were two semi finals with Cappawhite defeating Broadford, and, Newport defeating Cappamore.
Before the finals, Cappamore Intermediate camogie team played against the “All Blacks” which was a combination of over 40s men from Cappamore and Doon. Good fun for all players and supporters. Well done to all!
The cup final was played between Cappawhite and Newport. Cappawhite won the final and at the end of the game were presented with the cup by Mickey, Nicola and Aisling Ryan.
The shield final was played between Cappamore and Broadford. Cappamore won the final and at the end of the game were presented with the shield by Mickey and Nicola Ryan and Seamus Lane.
A sincere thanks to all teams, coaches and management for taking part and for the referees who refereed the matches. Also, a huge “thank you” to all who helped prepare the in the lead up to the day and also on the day….many thanks.

Limerick Ladies Gaelic Football
Congratulations to Sarah Dillon who is a member of the Limerick Ladies Gaelic football team, who on
Saturday, 14 June defeated Derry in round 3 (Group A) of TG4 All-Ireland Junior Championship on a scoreline of 8 – 12 to 1 – 08.
In round 2 of the championship, played in Doon on 8 June, Limerick were beaten by Louth on a scoreline of 2 – 07 to 0 – 09.
Next up in the group on 22 June is away to Sligo.
Social Camogie
On Tuesday, 10 June Cappamore Social Camogie team made the trip to Galbally for a return match. Again, another evenly contested match. Well done Cappamore Social camogie ladies.
