Please note that juveniles must be a member of Cappamore GAA & Camogie Club before they can take part in training sessions, blitzes and competitive games.
Hurling Field Update
At the start of February, the club received planning permission for the ball wall and associated astroturf. The ball wall and astroturf will be located in the triangle behind a new field as shown in the following:
Once the floodlights are installed and completed, the club will focus on the ball wall and astroturf area to continue our facility development.
The floodlights have been delivered to the main contractor with the poles, and our next phase will be to start the foundations for same. Floodlights will be installed 4 x 20 either side of the new pitch. This next phase is weather dependent, but the club hopes to see progress in the coming months.
Last week, the goalmouths in the new field were re-turfed.
The club would like to thank all those who helped with the spring clean of the changing rooms and grounds on Saturday, 7 February.
Fitzgibbon Cup
Hard luck to Cappamore’s Intermediate hurler - Sean Whelan, who is part of the Mary Immaculate College Fitzgibbon Cup panel that were defeated by UL in the Fitzgibbon Cup Final last Friday evening.
Maura McCloy Cup
Congratulations to Aine Berkery who is a member of Mary Immaculate College that recently won the Maura McCloy Cup on 7 February. Well done Aine.
